How
Often Should I Get an Eye Exam?

The American Optometric Association recommends getting an eye exam at least every 2 years if you’re between the ages of 18 and 64. At 65 years or older, you should be getting an eye exam at least once a year.

While the above exam schedule is suitable for people who don’t have any health concerns or symptoms, people with health conditions such as diabetes should increase their exam frequency to at least once a year, or as recommended by their optometrist.

Happens During an Eye Exam?

Our eye exams are designed with you in mind. During your appointment, we’ll perform several tests using a variety of technologies and specialized tools to assess your ocular health. This allows us to diagnose and manage any issues as early as possible.

We’ll also spend some time getting to know you during each appointment. We’ll ask you about your vision needs, your health history, and your family history. This allows us to provide you with the eye care you deserve.
